Isn't it funny how there are certain things that can cause a major discussion...religion, politics and the weather. Spending a good chunk of my life in Eastern North Carolina...
See that little town, Havelock, yep that's where I grew up...anyway back to the weather.
Ya see, growing up there I know a thing or two about humidity, to say it's thick is an understatement. The threat of hurricanes coming up the coast was an annual event and we took it in stride because that's what you do. Snow...don't go there, when it snows everything stops, seriously, no road salt trucks, plows, what's that? In 1989 there was a snowstorm to beat all snowstorms, poor Skip (the local weather legend) is still talking about it.
Sitting on my front porch in Virginia this Sunday morning the air is so thick I can actually see it and you can almost taste it..yep it's THICK...and ya know what it feels pretty good. But ya know what feels better, the a/c when you do walk back inside. But for now I think I'll just sit here and enjoy the humidity because fall is just around the corner and it is my second most favorite season and weather to chat about.
Until Next Time..
enjoy the Weather out there...
I'm a lover of music...I know that most people love music and some even make money from it, let me just say that I'll never make money from music...I can't carry a turn with two buckets in hand. My inability to carry a tune never kept me from singing at the top of my lungs when I was growing up. I'd walk down to the Zip-Mart and pick up a latest copy of Song Hits Magazine, it didn't have the music notes but the words to all the latest hits, run home and sign every song in the magazine before the end of the day. Today Hal David passed away, most people don't know who he was and to be honest when I heard the name I wasn't so sure myself but when I saw the list of songs he had written I knew that I did know Hal David because I could pretty much sing every song he had ever written, you tell me, do you know these songs?
