I'm not the best at keeping a secret when it comes to fun things happening at KAQ..as a matter of fact I'm AWFUL...but this time I managed to keep this BIG HUGE MASSIVE secret..well for the most part I've kept it a secret. So with that out of the way I am happy to announce that Kelly Ann's Quilting is a Signature Dealer with Accuquilt! With the Accuquilt...Better cuts make better quilts! Big It's an exciting time for us at the shop...with the entire team going through education we are ready to answer your questions from which cutter is best for you to how you can save time in cutting, giving you more time to sew. I've been quiet lately... spending time with this pup.. Our Zele was 13 1/2 years old .. she lived a very good life...a true princess. She was fearless..she was our protector..she was our Boo dog... We have been left with a very large Zele size hole in our hearts...but we promised her the day we brought her home that we would love her till the end and then help her cross that bridge. Zele taught us so much .. with a lab.. they shed..a lot..she loves treats..she knew how to pretend potty time to get treats then knew how to ask to go out to potty to get the real treat...she knew how to tell time..did I say she shed...A LOT? .. she showed us unconditional love ... and for that she will always be our seal pup.. Starting this Saturday, March 4, 2017, we are kicking off our Brown Bag Mystery Quilt. Each bag will contain 5 - 1 yard cuts ... and just like the name indicates ... it's a mystery. Everything from the fabric we've chosen to the pattern but don't despair we didn't pick ugly fabric and toss them in bags, we spent lots of fun time picking fabrics that all go together. And now you are wondering what the colors are...that's an easy one..we've attached paint chips from the hardware store to the front of the bag to guild you on the color. Here is how the mystery will work...you will come in and purchase your bag and then every two weeks your clues will be ready to be picked up. AGAIN...don't despair....if you come in to the shop and buy your bag but can't make it every two weeks we can mail your pattern...BUT...we can't mail the fabric. We are working with several other quilt shops across the country and we even have a private Facebook group for yo

If you wanted to take a class at your LQS (local quilt shop) but all the classes they offered didn't fit in to your schedule but they offered private classes that would work for you, would you take one? OR do you take classes for the social aspect? It's hard for LQS's to know if a class will actually go when they place it on the schedule but the one thing we hear often..."I would love to take that class but I have to ... work, transport kids, wash my hair... you can fill in the blank" .. It seems there is no magic time to teach a class. So to help with the educational component of what we do at Kelly Ann's Quilting  we know offer Personal Instruction. With the Personal Instruction we can offer you a private class to learn a technique that will fit your timeline and that of the instructor.
