We have a great group of merchants in Old Town Warrenton, and we are always looking for ways to entice people to our town to spend the day.
After reading about yarn bombs and seeing pictures of them online we came up with the idea, why not yarn bomb OTW.
I put the word out for knitters and yarn fans to see if the would help in our little event...
WOW...
I was blown away by the support I received.
I HUGE shoutout to Eli, Pat, Paulette, Kathy, Toni at Atomic Fibers, Penni at Cabin in the Woods Quilters, Paula, Janet at The Empty Nest...and so many more.
Paulette came in to help install, and we were joined by Paula and Janet.
We're hoping the yarn holds up for a few weeks ~ time will tell. So if you are out and about in OTW stop in and walk the streets and tell us what you think. A shout-out to Yarnia of Old Town, located on Main St, they yarn bombed Main St from 4th to 5th, their customers really stepped up. And Sandra at Do You...DejaVu. Sandra was another drop off point, and she loaded down two poles in front of her shop.
I can't wait to see how we can make this an annual event.
