How many UFO's do you have in your sewing room? or better stashed throughout your home? Do you need some help and encouragement to get a few of them done? Well look no further...
Starting January 15, 2014 at Kelly Ann's Quilting we will be starting the PhD 6 Project Program.
Are you familiar
with the term PhD? I’m not talking about a Doctor of Philosophy degree. I’m
referring to those unfinished projects – Projects Half Done! Does that
describe your UFO’s? The Kelly Ann’s Quilting PhD 6 Project Program will run
for six months. You choose six projects that you want to finish. It can be any
project, at any stage – number them 1 to 6. Send me an email (kelly@kellyannsquilting.com), bring your list into the shop or post the details on the Kelly
Ann’s Facebook page with PhD in the subject line, and give me your project
list, numbered and with the name of the projects. I’ll pick a number on the 15th day of the month and post it to my blog and Facebook that will be the
project you work on for the month. The objective is to get you to finish some
of your projects, but if you don’t finish during the month just set it aside
and start working on the next project when a new number is published. The
program will begin January 15th.
- Finish your project during the
month and send me a picture to post on the blog (or better yet, bring it
in for show and tell!) and be entered to win a $10 Kelly Ann’s gift
certificate.
- The person with the most finishes from their registered project list at the end of six months will win a $25 Kelly Ann’s gift certificate (in the event of a tie, the winner will be drawn at random.) Several people have asked for the definition of finished…since the goal is to get you working on those UFO’s here’s what I’ve come up with: projects that are smaller than lap size must be totally finished; lap size and larger projects will be considered finished as tops. Only the six registered projects are eligible. And projects include bags, table runners...
Now you have all the details start going through your projects and send/bring in/post the list and get ready to be handed your first number.
Until next time
Be Kind
Kelly Ann
