Look What I Found...

While in Pittsburgh for Spring Quilt Market we saw lots of hand work in lots of different booths. At the store we just got in a really neat redwork pattern from Pearl Louise Designs, so all of this hand work got me to thinking about a cross stitch piece I started several years ago...well...I found it...
Rainbow Row...all the way from Charleston South Carolina. I found the pattern, price sticker dated September 1995, one row house done and all of my threads, so I think I'm gonna pack this piece up and take it on vacation with me. It's been awhile since I've actually done alot of cross stitchin' but I use to love it and would sit for hours working on a piece. So follow along with me as I try my hand back at cross stitchin'....I promise to post pictures as I get each house done.

O' before I forget..all this talk about hand work and I forgot to share with y'all...we're gonna start carrying some patterns from Bareroots Stitchery, very cute stuff...I'm still trying to figure out the thread we'll carry but y'all will be the first to know.

Happy Quilting & Stitchin'

  1. I love crosstitch..did it years ago..then got frustrated when my little boys would tangle all my neatly organized thread ;-( After that I would barter with my cross stitchin sister. She would stitch for me and I painted something for her..worked out great....HEY...wait a darn minute...she never did finish my santa!!! I'm calling her right now! I bet she thinks I forgot after all it has only been 26 years ;-)

  2. I have the same cross-stitch piece! Only difference is it has MUCH LESS done and is probably dated around the same time. My living roon is Charleston themed, so maybe I should work on this along with you, Kelly! Have a blast at the beach - the weather looks great for the week!
