Happy Halloween

I love Halloween... the decorating.... the candy.... the fun... I love vintage Halloween the best... Zombies are okay but give me a black cat and carved pumpkins and I'm one happy little gal...

May you find lots of treats in your day... Happy Halloween...

Quilt Market day 1...

First day of Quilt Market is always a learning experience. From learning about some of the new products coming down the pike to learning how to weave my way around the packed halls between Schoolhouse sessions. I've finally mastered the room number system and refined how I get from one location but it's almost comical to listen to the people in the hall waiting to get into a room while others want to get out and then there's the lady, and y'all all know her, that yells at the top of her lungs "move along, I need to get to my next class", she cracked a bunch of us up, too dang funny.

If you don't follow me on Facebook here are a few of the snapshots from yesterday...just some of the fun I had...

Kim Diehl chatting about her new book and some stinkin' cute samples were being shown to lots of ooo's and aaahhh's....

Stinkin' cute new quilts from Kathy Brown, really need to stop by her booth and check these out...

And...look who I found first thing…

Off to Market I go...

It's that time of the year..again...no not fall... Fall Quilt Market time...
I leave in two days and am super excited to see all the new goodies.
It's always fun to see what's new but it's lots of work walking around the George Brown Convention Center.
I hope to be blogging my way through market but incase I don't get to a post everyday the best way to keep up with  me is to following along our my Facebook page..
See y'all from Houston...

I'm back...

Blogging took a back seat to shop hop prep...then the actual shop hop...then the days following but that's all behind me... for now that is until the next one starts in November.
I was reading a blog this morning and it was all about fives.. five things she had done that day...five recipes she liked... five things she's gonna do tomorrow and five blogs she likes to read... So I'm thinking...Did I do five different things yesterday (I'm blogging in the am) that I could list...
1.  Woke up to a cold fall morning and HAD to put on socks.. my toes need to be FREE..so socks are not really my friend.
2.  Spent the best two hours with part of my Creative Team at KAQ coming up with fun and creative ideas for our Quilters' Quest special fabric.
3.  Chatted, helped and just completely enjoyed the customers that came in to KAQ...couldn't ask for a better day of chatting and helping peeps with their fabric selections.
4.  Dinner out with Janet (from The Empty Nest) and he…

October 1st...

I'm fickle...I love the heat and humidity that summer time brings but if you asked me my favorite month I would say OCTOBER..hands down.   I love the color of fall...

and the taste...
I'm a big fan of soups...and fall soups are some of my favorite...
But the only thing I don't like about October...

is this can't be far behind....
Until next time... Be Kind...
