I'm a lover of music...I know that most people love music and some even make money from it, let me just say that I'll never make money from music...I can't carry a turn with two buckets in hand.  My inability to carry a tune never kept me from singing at the top of my lungs when I was growing up. I'd walk down to the Zip-Mart and pick up a latest copy of Song Hits Magazine, it didn't have the music notes but the words to all the latest hits, run home and sign every song in the magazine before the end of the day.  Today Hal David passed away, most people don't know who he was and to be honest when I heard the name I wasn't so sure myself but when I saw the list of songs he had written I knew that I did know Hal David because I could pretty much sing every song he had ever written, you tell me, do you know these songs?

24 Hours from Tulsa
A House is Not a Home
American Beauty rose
Anyone Who Had a Heart
Blue on Blue (one of my favorites)
Close to You
Do you Know the Way to San Jose (another favorite)

Johnny Get Angry
Magic Moments
Make It Easy on Yourself
Message to Michael
My Heart is an Open Book
One Less Bell to Answer (ditto)
Open Your Arms to the World
Promises, Promises
Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head (ditto ditto ditto)
Reach Out for Me
The April Fools
The Look of Love (triple ditto)
The Many Who Shot Liberty Valance
There's Always Something There to Remind Me
This Guys's in Love with You (knew this song was written for me)
To All the Girls I've loved Before
Trains and Boats and Planes
Walk on By
What the World Needs Now is Love (still sing this one)
What's new Pussycat (wasn't singing this one but will now)
Wishin' and Hopin' (now this one is an ear-worm)
Wives and Lovers
You'll never Get to Heaven if You Break My Heart

In case you were ear worm is a song that gets stuck in your head and you can't get it out,  so if you click on the Wishin' and Hopin' song you know what's playing in my head...

I now listen to music when in my sewing studio and when I'm working in my office...Pandora is my latest addiction if you've not discovered Pandora click over, it's free, and you can set up your stations and listen to whatever kind of music you could be Country, Jazz, Rock..pick up favorite artist and a station can be set up around that type of will seriously become addicted just like me.

Until Next Time..

and listen to the music and

A Personal Post

Please indulge me as I write this very personal post....

When an obituary doesn't tell the whole story:

On Christmas day I received a phone call from my nephew that my brother had passed away in his sleep. His death was sudden and with no warning. Time stood still and I didn't know if I could catch my breath from the shock.

You see, Jimmy had always been a part of my life, at 57 I didn't know a life without having this older brother that I looked up to. We had lost our other brother, Karl, in 1984 in a car accident. When there were three, we were down to I am just one.

I found this picture of the three of us...1963/64...the cat, Waldo, is being held by Karl and if you'll notice Jimmy is in a cast..I'm sure there is a story behind that and my mother will be able to fill that in.

Let me tell you about Jimmy that his obituary didn't.

First of all..he was he got older I'm sure he tried to go by Jim, but that was always dad, he was Jimmy. As…
